| At the Bayview Retirement Village the elderly are expected to grow old gracefully, enjoying their final years in peace, quiet and comfort... but not if Tom (Graham Crowden) and Diana (Stephanie Cole) have anything to do with it! Meet two elderly eccentrics who refuse to put up with the appalling food and condescending staff; in the hilariously cynical BAFTA-nominated comedy series that won Stephanie Cole a British Comedy Award in 1992.
EPISODE 1:
Diana creates chaos as she gets Tom out of hospital. Harvey decides he needs a wife and Jane ponders over her direction in life.
EPISODE 2:
The newly formed Bayview Conservation Society, including Tom and Diana, try to outwit Harvey's plans for extending Bayview. Geoffrey has finally left Marion and seems to be getting on very well with Jane.
EPISODE 3:
Bayview is to have a royal visit, Tom thinks it's wonderful but Diana doesn't. Meanwhile Geoffrey and Howard come to blows over Jane's affections.
EPISODE 4:
When Diana's suppurating foot shows no sign of improvement, doctors discover she is suffering from maturity onset diabetes. Harvey proposes to Jane and is rejected.
EPISODE 5:
Diana is taken to hospital after collapsing when Tom proposes to her. Jane is still determined to become a nun and is refusing all Harvey's proposals.
EPISODE 6:
A driving lesson lands Tom in Jail, meanwhile Harvey decides to become a priest and orders a mail-away ordination.
EPISODE 7:
Diana's rejection of Tom's marriage proposal pushes him to drastic measures; on the verge of a bungee jump only Diana's acceptance will stop him
EPISODE 8:
With Harvey and Jane to be married followed by Diana and Tom, it looks like Rev. Dennis has his hands full especially as he's booked a funeral at the same time. |
