The music of Fairground Attraction was considered to be the paradigm of the trend towards acoustic music that conquered the LP market in the 1980s. No surprise then, that their song "Perfect" shot up to number 1 on the British charts and won the Brit award for the single.
The English/Scottish band holds its listeners with a wide musical spectrum, from wild folk music to sober jazz. Their energy-packed singer, Eddi Reader, is almost unstoppable on stage, even getting the public to waltz. At the end of the show she leaves her fans with the parting words "Keep romance alive!".
