Throughout the 1950's, 60's & 70's, John Tate, a talented amateur film-maker travelled to all the great international motor racing events & captured on a film a unique insight into the golden age of F1 when it was at it's most challenging, heroic and sporting yet also most accessible and intimate to the legion of fans that to flocked to the races.
All the great drivers, many of whom knew John Tate well, can be seen not just in action but also at private testing and relaxing away from the track.
Stewart, Rindt & Fittapaldi are just some of the true greats featured in this series of the F1 legends of the 1970's.
