| Peter Davison reads the wonderful story of Alice Through The Looking Glass.
One minute Alice is looking into the mirror and the next the glass turns into a sort of mist, melts away and Alice is able to walk straight through into the Looking-Glass House. It is a magical world where all of the pictures seem to be alive, the clock on the chimney piece has the face of a little old man which grins at her and the chess pieces are walking around.
Alice sets off to explore the garden and is deep in conversation with some of the flowers when she meets the Red Queen. the Queen invites Alice to join in the game of chess and Alice soon meets a whole host of fascinating characters including Tweedledum and Tweedledee. |
