| The Ultimate Crimes series tells the true life stories of the world's most infamous murders. Revealed for the first time on DVD are the crimes, clues and forensic evidence that brought the most violent murderers to justice.
Evading Justice Between 1982 and 1998 the Green River Killer murdered nearly 50 young women. This prolific serial killer would conceal their naked bodies and continue his sadistic killings undetected. The Zodiac Killer stalked Northern California between the late 1960's and 1970's. Whilst the investigating detectives have all now retired, the fate of California's Zodiac Killer remains unsolved. Seventy years after Jack the Ripper roamed London's streets, another serial killer of women and prostitutes was embarking on a killing spree of seven victims. His nickname was Jack the Stripper.
A Question of Doubt Jimmy Hoffa was the infamous leader of America's Teamster's Union who was alleged to be working closely with the Mafia. In 1975 he was last seen leaving a restaurant in a car; his body has never been recovered. Dr Sam Sheppard was the true life inspiration for 'The Fugitive'. In 1954 Sheppard awoke to find his wife battered to death. The police did not believe him and Sheppard spent ten years in prison. What was the truth? The Green Bicycle Case of 1919 was the most renowned murder case of the inter-war years. A young woman had been found shot dead in a quiet countryside lane in Leicestershire and the suspect was seen riding a green bicycle.
Evidence of Murder Stanley Setty was murdered, dismembered, wrapped in brown paper and then dumped over the English Channel. The discovery of his floating torso started off a murder hunt that ended with the trial and acquittal of Donald Hume. But was he really the killer? James Hanratty was executed for the A6 murder which rocked England in the early 1960's. Lovers, Michael Gregsten and Valerie Storie, were forced by Hanratty to drive around before he panicked and shot them in a lay-by. Detectives in New Jersey were called to the house of John List. They entered the house to the sound of haunting organ music and the smell of decomposing bodies. |
