| Julia Stonecypher (OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN) has recently lost bother her husband and her job, and the coming Christmas holidays already look pretty bleak for Julia and her two daughters when things begin to get worse!
Brian Harding (GREGORY HARRISON), the vice-president of the local bank, turns up in a snowstorm to inform Julia that her house is being repossessed and that she and her daughters will soon be homeless.
A car accident and the inclement weather, however, conspire to keep Brian in the Stonecyphers' live for considerably longer than they would like!
